basically a bribe. you’re trading something valuable (template, checklist, doc) for their attention (email, phone number, etc).

i’ve helped 100+ founders build these. here’s what actually works:

1. make it short + sharp solves one specific problem takes <10 minutes to use actionable right away (no theory) bonus if it’s a google doc you can just “make a copy” of

no one wants a 50-page ebook. they want fast wins.

2. promote it like you mean it link it in your bio dm new followers add soft ctas in your content run a “comment ‘free’ and i’ll send it” post send everyone to a landing page (don’t just drop the file)

most people overthink this. just ship one. see what hits. then double down.
